Players who wish to audition for the Young Players Philharmonic by video may do so by directly sending video files to:  orchestradirector1@yahoo.com.       In person auditions are still an option for those who prefer.

Applicants who will be auditioning for the Young Players Philharmonic by video audition must inform us prior to submitting their video by informing us via  e mail to the above e mail address .

Players who are accepted should then download our application form and bring it with them to the first rehearsal

The rehearsal schedule and repertoire will be posted in late August.
 
Specifications:

Video files to be in MPEG4 fromat, Audio in MP3 format.   If you are sending an HD format, please post that video to "You Tube" and send us the URL.

All videos will be limited to 5 minutes in length.

Video applicants will be required to play the following scales, in 3 octaves if possible:  C major, B flat major, D major and G major.

The solo piece is to be no longer than  3 minutes and the title of the work announced by the player.

There is no sight reading required for video auditions. however successful applicants will need to show thier ability to sight read at the first few rehearsals.

Players who auditon via video and are accepted must be willing and able to join the Young Players Philharmonic and attend regular rehearsals.

Players who are accepted will be notified shortly after the video audition is viewed

Video auditions are for orchestral players only, not for soloists.

Past taped performances are also accepted as the solo requirement.  Scales will still have to be submitted at the same time as the solo portion of the video.

For those who are preparing a video for submission, please be sure to record fairly close to the camera and microphone and in a noise free setting.
